Record Snowfall in Calgary

Well, we're snowbound today - record snowfall in Calgary. Got in some shipments yesterday, so had fun putting ribbons and wristlets away today. New Ceramics in Stock

Just received a selection of ceramic containers at Amazing Floral Wholesale. Great for plant pot covers or fresh arrangements, we even have baby booties and smiley face mugs. Some are painted dolomite, while others are glazed. All reasonably priced. Other florist supplies just received include hydro stone, soil, and planting tools. These can be used with the mosses we have in stock to create beautiful, healthy terrariums. We are open weekends. Happy Birthday Dougie!
Christmas Ribbons

The Autumn season has started with a cool misty morning here in Calgary, Alberta. Good day to spend inside, on the computer. Last night my youngest granddaughter had a windup party for the past year's Round Up Band. She'll be playing her trombone again this year. They grow up so fast. Today, I'm getting a jump-start on entering all the ribbons that will be arriving this week, so if you want a preview, check them out in our ribbon collection.

Yesterday, our granddaughter took Mickey for a hike at Ghost Lake. Reminded me of the current 'forage' trend in floristry. For centuries, home and professional floral designers have foraged, be it in their gardens or further abroad. Now it is a trend and celebrated. Nature has always inspired floral design, with all of our principles based on nature's formulas. As unique and natural floral designs top the trends for 2018, forage embodies both. Forage design is also environmentally appealing. Shipping is minimal, and as long as the source is not destroyed, it provides a sustainable, renewable resource. Variety choices change...
Bespoke and Bohemian

Those 'B' Words... Two words bantered about frequently this year in the wedding business are 'Bespoke' and 'Bohemian'. If you're ever wondered the meaning behind these words, we'll take a look at that here. Firstly, when we speak of a bespoke style, we are referring to a design made to the buyer's specifications - tailored to the customer, unique and personal. No cookie cutter designs here. Bohemian imbues a relaxed, unstructured, non-traditional, unconventional style. Here, we see flowing flowers, loose styling, and voluptuous flower crowns. Feathers, wood, lace and ribbon are often included. An eclectic mix of jars and receptacles...
