With a week to go until Hallowe'en, now is the time to stock up on spook-tacular vases from Amazing Floral Wholesale! Try using black and copper decorative wire in your designs. Use black chenilles for creepy spiders. Use copper bullion and branches to make spider webs. Use hot glue and Styrofoam blocks to make cob webs. Want to have ghosts on your windows or vases? Count Your Buttons Day

And yes, Amazing Floral Wholesale even has buttons! These 18 foot rolls have buttons spaced 2" apart. Three different sizes in three hues add a rich, collected look to your floral creations. If I were to count the buttons on these spools with coordinating coloured wire, I would guess it works out to 108 buttons.On my person, no buttons today.

A Florist's Hands

It's that time of year when a florist's hands, which normally endure all kinds of abuse, suffer more with the arrival of Christmas greens. Cutting thick evergreen stems and stripping needles so they aren't in the floral foam (where they will act like a wick and pull the water out of the container) can leave hands very sticky. I've found that Avon's Silicone Glove works wonders. Put a bit on before you start working and it makes for easy clean up. Your hands won't feel greasy or slippery.
