It's that time of year when we have to protect our floral creations from the elements. Amazing Floral Wholesale has just received a wonderful selection of poly bags in assorted sizes and 30" paper rolls in a variety of colours. It is important not to have plastic directly touching fresh flowers in cold weather, so with that in mind,  we also have a myriad of wax tissue colours in stock. Not only is today National Cat Day, it is also Internet Day, so what is more fitting than to post a blog on the internet.  So, here's a picture of cattails (the closest we come to a cat at Amazing Floral Wholesale) in our idea library, which is available to all florists. The idea library includes magazines and books about floral design, which florists are able to browse, or borrow, for a one week period. If you've any floral books or magazines you'd like to add to the library, you are welcome to do so. 

Our youngest is having a birthday today. Here he is with his Dad and son - three generations. Going to go home and make meatloaf. Spent the day organizing all the plastic containers. It will be easier to find what we're looking for with them all in one area. Posted a walk-in special to move some of the product we inherited with the business. Keep an eye out for others from time to time. 

Now is the time to be planning and implementing the construction of your outdoor planters. Most planter pots are invariably large and heavy. To save soil and cost, it's a great idea to turn a bucket upside down in the planter, prior to adding a container in which to design your creation. This also helps in the transportation of the planter, if need be. You can use floral foam, ground Styrofoam and chicken wire, or any other medium that will hold your boughs and branches in your design container.  Once they're watered in, the weather will finish the job by freezing them...

Well, the list tells me it's American Beer Day. Guessing the list is made by an American Company, so we can celebrate with Canadian beer, if that's your beverage of choice.
